Westerly Discus 33 - Bilge Keel Yacht for Sale

Andromeda is a 33ft (10m) Bilge Keel Westerly Discus. Built in 1982 by Westerly Yachts.

Andromeda spent her first years in the Mediterranean around Corfu before being sailed to Cyprus and sold to her previous owner in 1997. At this time she underwent a refit (including engine replacement) prior to being sailed back to the UK. V.A.T was paid on arrival in the UK (copies of the paperwork available).

I purchased Andromeda in 2018 and have undertaken rigging replacement, stackpack replacement, anchor chain replacement and general maintenance. I’ve sailed around the East Coast and across to the continent in that time.

Andromeda is currently ashore at Felixstowe Ferry (Suffolk) awaiting preparation for the 2022 sailing season. Over winter she will be antifouled, hull and decks cleaned and routine maintenance undertaken including engine servicing.

She will be launched at the beginning of April on to a local mooring and will be continued to be sailed until sold.

Andromeda is a sound boat, capable of being sailed single handed, but also has the capacity to accommodate crew/family in comfort for longer stays aboard. Moorings on the River Deben are available directly from the Boatyard. I can advise on this if required.

I have folders full of the boats history, which can be provided for viewing to those seriously interested.

A hard 8ft tender, Zodiac AX3 and 3hp outboard are available by separate negotiation.
