Images below of the Deben Bar on 9th April 2020; taken at LW Chart Datum +0.1m. The shingle bar has moved as usual following winter storms. Following a survey the entrance buoys now put in place (24th April 2020) with the latest chartlet showing the positioning of the buoys now available at www.debenestuarypilot.co.uk/maps.html

June 2020 update:

As a guide at present the depth of water over the Bar is the equivalent to the Harwich Tide Gauge So if the Harwich tide gauge indicates 2.9m that is the minimum depth of water you are likely to encounter on the Bar. This may change as the Bar shifts during the season.
